This past week has been pretty incredible, full of great events and personal milestones for myself. I’ve been on hiatus for the last 9 days or so so I’ve been away from the computer for quite a bit. I feel I can’t truly enjoy the experiences if I bring my laptop on the road and constantly update to keep up with other blogs/publications. With that said I will be doing individual entries for most of these events.
Anyway here are a few pics to very briefly go over my past week. Enjoy!!!
First up, the MAX Showcase at the Cashman Center in fabulous Las Vegas, and no that is not another Skyline of mine, but I did drive it in for a friend:
That same night I left Vegas and hit the road for Cali for another show the very next morning; the Nissan Jam in Costa Mesa!
Immediately afterwards we went to the monthly Slammed Sundays meet at Illest OC!
Then I spent my days in between building a new headlight wiring harness and dealing with my rear brakes that locked up while heading west on the 60 fwy…
Finally got a chance to take a break with my sister and kids in tow, and eat (for my first time) at the awesome Grilled Cheese Truck!
The next day, I met up again with Paul Garcia and his magnificent Liberty Walk R35 GT-R for the Targa Trophy at the Eibach HQ in Corona. We were both display cars for the Toyo Tires booth. I also finally met up with the great people from Toyo Tires who sponsored my tires!
The Inland Empire Datsun Meet in Moreno Valley was coincidentally later that day! My old stomping grounds for a couple of years before I joined the service. I met some really great people and cars there. They were all so hospitable and this type of meet had a more of a personal, family vibe, I loved it!
And to cap things off drove out to Long Beach the next day to do a Video shoot for SuperStreet.com again with my Skyline/GT-R partner crime Paul Garcia.
It was truly an amazing week! I met some really great people at the top of the industry, hung out some people that are just getting into the scene with great new ideas, fixed my car, made new friends and interweaved through the whole thing spent some quality family time with my parents, sister, brothers, nephew and son.
I am so grateful to all of that I know and love that make it real… More to come!
